Shaheed Diwas (Martyrs’ Day) is observed annually by nations to give respect to the soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation. On this day, parades and events are organized to remember the contribution of Martyrs. This day is celebrated to honor and remember their sacrifice for the independence struggle of India. The Day of Shaheed Diwas or Martyrs’ Day is celebrated every year on January 30 and March 23 to pay homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, glory, welfare, and progress of India. In some parts of India March 23 is also celebrated as Martyr’s Day because on this day three heroes of the nation were hanged to death by the British:
